Boric acid (with 17.5% B) is a weak solid and highly pure acid. It is ideal to supply the needs of B or to prevent or correct element deficiencies in crops. It is completely soluble in water and absorbed by the leaves, the woody tissue, fruits, and obviously by the roots. Other uses of boric acid are as an alkaline corrector or hard water, acidifying in fertilizers and pesticides mixtures and as a cleaning agent on irrigation pipes. It is special for foliar, drench or fertigation systems.
